Espinaler

今回のエントリーはとてもローカルな話題ですが、今家で使っているザル貝（スペイン語ではベルベレッチョと呼ばれる貝）などの魚貝類やポテトチップに振りかけるソースを作っている会社の直売店とバーに行ってきました。バルセロナの北東のビラサル・デ・マル(Vilassar de Mar)という街のエスピナレ(Espinaler)というこの会社はもともと魚貝類の缶詰を作っている会社ですが、魚貝類のタパスにかけル酸味の効いたソースも作るようになりました。私は缶詰より先にソースを知ったのでソースの店かと思っていたのですが、やはり魚貝類の缶詰専門の会社だけあってバーでいただいた魚貝類のタパスは本当に美味しかったです。スペインは缶詰製品の種類も多く、遠距離の日本にも輸出できる質の良いものが多いと感じます。店員さんと話したところまだエスピナレの製品は日本には輸出されていないとのことなので、これから魚貝類の缶詰はもちろんのことソースも日本で手に入るようになると嬉しいです。店内で写真を撮っていたら陽気な店員さんがポーズをとってくれました。

I know this is very local topic but today I’d like to introduce my favorite tapas source, their other seafood products… and of course their bar where you can enjoy a variety of seafood! The company is called Espinaler and it’s located in Vilassar de Mar, 25 mins or so from Barcelona by car. You can buy their seafood sources in many super markets in Catalunya but their direct selling shop offers us huge variety of high-quality seafood products.

The source is employed especially for cockles (berberechos in Spanish) and potato chips and its fantastic sour flavor encourages you to ear more and more! Originally this company was making canned seafood so you can enjoy their delicious seafood at their bar (actually they have two bars in Vilassar de Mar) and also you can buy them at their shop. I asked the stuff if they export canned seafood to Japan and they said still not so I hope in the future we can enjoy their products in Japan too 😉 

Sé que es un tema muy local pero me gustaría introducir una salsa para tapas que se llama Espinaler. Soy fan de esta salsa agria. Si eres un catalán me imagino que la conoces. Yo viví en otra parte de España hace tiempo pero igual por eso no la conocía hasta que empecé a vivir en Barcelona. Hoy he ido a la tienda de Espinaler y su bar en Vilassar de Mar. Tienen dos bares en el pueblo, uno cerca de mar y otro en zona industrial y yo he ido al de industrial (Hay otro bar en Badalona también). Estaban buenísimos las tapas de mariscos en el bar y me impresionó la variedad de los enlatados! Aun no ha llegado a Japón así que espero que en futuro cercano empiecen a exportar a mi país. Me gustaría comprar sus productos en Japón 🙂
